I actually think I have a good way to create carbon fiber tubing...I hope? to get a how to video up soon showing how.

Thanks for the ...
Thanks for the quick reply. Now I'm wondering if there? would be any advantage to using the same cf process to fab the turbo intake piping. Probably not.

Well there are ...
Well there are several reasons I am using a steel mold. I could have used a FG mold if I was coping a part but since I created the design of this intake I didnt have anything to copy? and it was much easier to make it from steel. The steel is stronger and will most likley last longer then FG, and I figured if the carbon intake didnt work out I could just cut the mold apart and use it...:) Thanks for the question

Any reason you're ...
Any reason you're using a steel mold?? Is it so you can heat it during the curing process? I guess a FG mold would get ruined if the part stuck.

Thanks?

Yea I agree if you already have a part you want to copy...but this was a? one off intake design that I created my self so I didnt have anything to cast in plaster.

Great video!! i ...
Great video!! i went to school for 4 years of composite engineering. another thing you could do for a mold than making one out of metal is use plaster to cover the part that you would want to make, its a little easier and? contours of the product nicely than do the whole same process like shown. its some fun strong stuff.

Well you're making ...
